Kenosis

(Greek: presence shaped by absence)

From the Greek, kenosis refers to a kind of surrender — the quiet power of letting go to create space. In this series, titled Kenosis, strips of glass are placed with care: color laid below, clear laid above, and space intentionally left between. The gaps, held in place by the surrounding glass, create the illusion that the color is suspended, as if the strips are hovering in air. Each piece holds an absence and the impression of color paused in motion
